The Roots Dentistry is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including patients using assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the widely accepted standard for web accessibility.

In practice, that means:

• Every interactive element can be reached and used with a keyboard alone.
• Pages are structured with semantic HTML and screen-reader-friendly labelling, so tools like VoiceOver and TalkBack can navigate the site sensibly.
• Text and background colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
• Touch targets are sized generously for anyone using a phone.
• Motion and animation respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting.

This is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix — if you come across anything on this site that’s hard to use with a screen reader, keyboard, or any other assistive technology, please tell us. We want to know and we’ll work to fix it.
